Marta is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Simulation, Analytics and Modelling in the Business School at the University of Exeter.

Her PhD research focuses on Healthcare Supply Chain Management and is supervised by Professor Navonil Mustafee (University of Exeter) and Professor Gianluca Veronesi (University of Bristol). Her thesis, titled “Operations Research for Human Milk Banking: Investigating Equitable Access, Operational Efficiency, and Effective Policy for Informed Decision-Making,” examines decision-making processes at multiple levels; from micro- and meso-level considerations, such as inventory management and prioritisation decisions within individual milk banks, to macro-level, system-wide understanding of demand patterns, supporting evidence-based policy development and strategic planning.
